Presented by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Clean Cities initiative, the 2011 Clean Cities Stakeholder Summit will provide a forum for collaboration between DOE, Clean Cities coordinators, and national and local stakeholders to discuss the short and long term opportunities, challenges, and strategies for greater adoption of alternative fuels, advanced vehicle technologies, and other petroleum reduction practices in the transportation sector. A portion of this year’s Summit will take place at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which is celebrating its Centennial Era, including the anniversary of the first Indianapolis 500 Mile Race, the greatest spectacle in racing. This icon of motorsports excellence offers a perfect setting for Clean Cities to accelerate their efforts to reduce petroleum consumption in on-road transportation.
The Clean Cities Stakeholder Summit Opening Ceremonies will take place the morning of Tuesday June 28th. There will be a training session on Monday afternoon June 27th for Clean Cities Coordinators only. All Summit attendees are invited to participate in an opening reception at Victory Field the evening of Monday June 27th. To view a preliminary agenda for the Summit, click here.
